    Well, it's done. I've learned a lot about the Cricut machine and had a ton of fun while building the shed. The building is made from entirely card stock cut on the Cricut except for wooden corner pieces and the lobster buoy frame and the styrene chimney and buoys.

          Chuck, I have no plans for the building. I simply wanted to try something in O scale. I just did a mock up of a building for the club layout (HO scale) that's about the same size as this one in the prototype, but darn, it looks small. I need to re calibrate my eyes.

            George,

            I’d say your experiment is an unqualified success. Your cutting machine works wonderfully and the colors you used for roof and sides are very effective. The trim and bouys add welcome touches of color.

                The Lobster house came out terrific. Learning the ins and outs of a new tool was probably a lot of fun too. We're all waiting to see what project you tackle next. Good job.

                    Thanks, Jim and Ted. I'm starting a small styrene building for the club layout. I've taken a few pictures and I need to start documenting it. Styrene's a different animal and I'm having to learn it's peculiarities, but the machine is useful for cutting.

                          Frank, I'm saving it for a show and tell. I'm giving a clinic on the Cricut machine in September and will use it and a bunch of extra pieces I made as test cuts to help explain the machine.

                          After that, who knows, I may find my self on the dark side by then.

                            Just found this thread while looking at another thread on the Cricut machine. I have been using the new MAKER since they came out about a year ago. I really enjoy it. The Design Space software will even allow you lay out basic shapes for walls, windows, doors etc.If I can locate a charged battery for my camera i will take a photos of some basic walls I cut it. It took all of 12 minutes to cut them out.

                              Hi George

                              Just seen this now and must say, you doing a great job.

                              I jave a plotter here at work(see pic below) that we use to create our packaging samples. Im it cuts cardboard up to 20mm thck.

                              Your thread has given me the boost to draw a structure up in CAD and cut it out.
