    Looking For...

    Hi All:

    If any of you have a stash of discarded (or otherwise) old MDC/Roundhouse queen post beams and K-type brake castings, I would be more than willing to take them off your hands. $$ involved.

    Getting down to the last of my stash.

    Today wasn't my day: This evening, after typing the above, my pin vice stripped. Now I've gotta' add getting a new one to the list.

    Just got back from Hobby Lobby this afternoon with some replacement tools (replaced my worn razor saw blade, picked up a new miter box for same along with a new cutting mat)... and promptly stripped my old (favorite) pin vice.

      Andre, Tichy, https://www.tichytraingroup.com/sells individual queen posts - you have to mount them on a beam yourself. They also sell brake parts.

        I think there was a company that bought many of the old parts from Roundhouse. The are called River City Railroad. Here are their ebay site.

          Thanks. I hit the links and viewed all 9 of their eBay store pages. Seems they only sell kits sans trucks/couplers. I do not see a parts catalog at their website. Darn.

          I'm now officially out of MDC pedestals/queenposts and K-type brakes. [:-grumpy]

              I sent you an mdc brake cylinder. It looked lonely in the mailer so I added a couple more castings from other sources.
