    City Taxi Build

    Hi everyone,

    I rested my modeling efforts during most of December to fight illness and concentrate on Christmas decorating and get togethers.

    It's time to jump back in to making structures!!

    My first build in 2018 will be a City Taxi Office and Shed. The time period will represent the late 30's.

    It will be scratchbuilt in 1:29 scale with foamboard, paper and stripwood. This build will represent a new structure so it will have very little weathering.

    Below is the sketch I threw together to help guide me during the build.

    Dave, this looks like a fun fueled way to start off your new year.

    Your newest sketch does not look like you threw it together.

    It's very professional looking, like something you'd expect to see in a kit's instructions.

    Well if the model turns out as great as the drawing looks, than I can already make a prediction for 2018.

    It's going to turn out beautiful! [:-angel]

              Thanks Greg, I like to make sketches to guide my work as well as aid in my forgetfulness.

              I'll try to make your prediction comes true and build a good model.

                    I love the 30's architecture so I decided to marry a few different textures together to try to make the build interesting...Hope it works. I really appreciate your comments and support!

                            What an interesting structure, Dave! It has a high proportion of detail and fiddley-bits to overall size.

                            It will be a great way to start the year for all of us.

                              I wanted to squeeze in the extra detail and I hope the fiddley-bit parts fit the overall effect I'm trying to achieve!
