Well, I would never argue I was a good piper, but my chanter only needs one reed. I have to borrow a used bag from a friend, and even then I am a poor example of a Scotsman.

I got a copy of The Pennsylvania Railroad, Volume 1 Building an Empire, 1846-1917, by Albert J. Churella http://www.upenn.edu/pennpress/book/15011.html
Should keep me going for a while, its nearly a 1000 pages and very few illustrations.

Well I didn’t get any modeling stuff from the family, so I took care of that since my last posting. A few grain cars and a few potash cars from PWRS in Canada added to the fleet. I told my wife those r my Xmas presents to myself.

Got a miniature tools from Lee Valley and a bottle of White Owl whiskey. Sharp tools and booze go together really well. Got lots of band aides on hand.
