Terrific job on these locos, Glen. Those paint jobs are truly superb.

[QUOTE=Glen_Haasdyk;n1018158]Thanks John. I'm glad that someone is getting inspired by what I'm doing, just as I get inspired by other modelers' work.
I got the repair parts for the Rapido engine today:
Glen~,
Oh, you are a correct master modeler, "there are someone's (like mee) out here always inspired by what you're putting out brother! Hold on to your Knickers; I'm not as fast as you, but I will hopefully catch up later in this next year on two switchers I want to rework (been thinking about them for a couple of years now) to do some things I've never seen done. BTW I love anything SW1200rs.Keep going, brother don't work slow like me.
Thanx Thom...

After a few months working on other projects I'm back with three engines for two other modellers.
An Athearn GP38, an Atlas RS-11 and an Atlas S-2. I stripped the paint as best as I could, the RS-11 did not want to come clean but at least I got the lettering off.
The GP38 is going to be painted as a Kelowna Pacific unit:

Custom decals are going to be needed for this project.
The RS-11 will be getting a BC Rail mid-eighties paint scheme.

And the S-2 will be part of a freelanced logging line.

Thanks guys. The BC rail color change was done in the mid-eighties for a number of reasons. As much as I prefer the two-tone green it was also a more difficult color scheme to see and there was concern about crossing accidents. The red, white, and blue were chosen to coincide with Expo 86' that was held in Vancouver that year.
I painted the white on the GP-38 and the RS-11 today. I'll be masking the RS-11 and spraying the red and blue shortly.

Today was 'painting day'
I did the main paint jobs on two of the three engines:
Yesterday I painted the white on the RS-11 and the GP-38. Today I masked and painted the red and blue on the RS-11. It was a mix of Vallejo and Polly-s colors, not a perfect match for the BC rail colors, but close enough. I has also noticed that the pilots, trucks and fuel tank were painted silver on the prototype so I airbrush those as well. I still have to paint the walkways but the major painting is done.
I also painted the S-2 shell. I figured that these would be a decent logging company's scheme. I plan to add the company's lettering in the yellow stripe with dry transfers.
I didn't get a lot done on the GP-38, just painted the nose the the running boards white. I need to add the handrails before I can continue as they were painted the GMD leasing blue with the rest of the engine.
