  • Please Read Before Listing Your Layout

Welcome to the Tour Bus. This forum area has been set up to provide Railroad-Line members with a means to let others know their layouts are "open" to visitors and to specify guidelines, times, dates, etc.

Before listing your layout, please read the following rules for posting carefully:

    1. You may list only your own personal layout here. Please do not post "proxie" listings for other model railroaders and/or non-members of Railroad-Line Forums.

    2. The "Subject" (topic) line should contain the name of the city where the layout is located, your name, and the name of your railroad. For example, St. Louis, John Smith's MoPac. This information will help potential visitors looking for specific towns or areas.

    3. The body of your post should include the following information: a description of the model railroad, the day(s) and hour(s) the layout is open for visitors, whether children younger than XX years of age are allowed, and any special provisions or information a potential visitor might need to know ahead of time. For example, you might need to note that your aisles are only 24" wide or that your layout area is (or is not) wheel chair accessible. You may also include a photo or two of your layout to augment the description.

    4. DO NOT post your email address or other personal information. Members who wish to visit your layout can contact you by clicking on your username and sending you an email or PM. All further arrangements and information (address, maps, etc.) can then be arranged off-forum. "Guests" of RR-L do not have access to the email and PM functions and will have to register as forum members if they wish to contact you.
