Hello to you
Today I undertake the construction of an 1880 US wind mill.
The set is made of Samba, coffee and balsa twirls and measures 18x18 at the base and 60cm high.I specify that I did not try to make some prototypical, but a coherent thing Now I will start making the blades.

In order to satisfy Louis' curiosity, here is the manufacture of the blades
Manufacturing of the "spider" support for the blades
A 4mm axle, two 25mm diameter washers and 16 tubes, 2mm, length 62mm.
I first welded the tubes on a washer with its axis according to my template, then inserted the second washer and heated everything at the gas camp so that the weld is distributed everywhere
Welding of the blades cut from a 0.5mm brass sheet. The set has a diameter of 16cm

Thank you Louis, Frank and Rich
The rest of the rotary assembly, I did not do anything prototypical (too bad for purists) because despite the docs, I did not understand how this bazaar of the time could work with chains, rods and the like. I therefore contented myself with a more simplified representation.
