  • New engine changing numbers

I have a new Mantua 2-6-6-2T. I did an initial test with my NCE Power Cab. It started out with cab #3 and about a foot down the track changed to #2... After about a minute it reset itself to #3 and then jumped to #2.

Is this something that can be fixed or does the engine have to go in for repair?

    Roger:

I would at first just try changing the locomotives cab number to another number and see what happens. Soemtimes changing the address is all that's need to give a decode a jump start.

You might also do a decoder reset in the programming model on NCE
