    Hi Ted,

Well I've been working on getting the front yard of the house cleaned up, plus finishing up on some brick work on the house. Getting it ready for the hardscape to go in this coming fall. I'm also building a Tad Pole Recumbent bike for the wife. If it works out I've got plans to build another one for me and then a tandem for both of us to ride up at the The River. So some of the model railroading items are simmering on the back burner.

Thanks Bill. If only I would finish some of the projects that I've started. Perhaps when they reach a certain number will they then be finished.

I'm already thinking one of the other TR'w that are mentioned in the second Yardlimit website.

This project started about 35 to 40 years ago with the purchase of an Athearn TR2 and a Hobbytown of Boston Yard Switcher power chassis kit #45408F. I had always wanted a TR3 set but never got around to getting that second power chassis. Well a trip to E-bay the last couple of months and I wound up with two chassis and a Cary Metal S2/S4 shell. I also purchased a TR2 Athearn set last year at a show. Both units were powered. So now I have a TR3 and a TR2.

The TR3 is a summer rainy day project and will be slow to get finished. I'm going to go about this differently on showing the modifications on the website. I'll post the high lites here and link to my website for the details. I'll use the forum thread for answering questions on procedures and other assorted sundries.

I've started the page here: http://www.kingstonemodelworks.com/TR3.html

Enjoy. If you have questions just ask.

What's a TR3 you may ask? Well below is a picture of a set.

Also known as a "herd" it's a cow/calf/calf combination that the C & O had two sets of. Here's a link to some prototype info.

And here's the start of my "herd"
