LV 318-and-300

    LV 318-and-300

    I completed 318 about six months ago,the 300 was completed two weeks ago.Both units are Athearn Genesis undecorated units that were painted using Model Master insignia red,MM insignia orange,Floquil grimey black,MS decals.Both were weathered using pencil,paint and powders.

      Bruce,thank you.The pictures were taken on my 2x8 ft diorama.At this time my 12x 16 layout is in the planning stages.Hopefully over the coming winter months I'll get the bench work completed and start the track work.

          Chris,

          Nice subtle weathering job on those units. They remind of the days I used to see them rumble by at Rochester Junction.

          Nice diorama also. Looks like you put a lot of work into it.

              Bernd...thank you...my 12x16 layout is in the planning stages so over the last few years I've added to the diorama for practice puposes and pictures.

              Peir...thank you also...its on a diorama but it also doubles as my test track when power is hooked up to it.The weeds are no problem.

                  Outstanding modeling on these and all of the other models that you have done.I retire at the end of this year and I will be getting some serious modeling done myself. That is if the Missus doesn't overwhelm me with her "honeydo list"! At any rate,I hope my models come out as great as yours.

                        Along with the Alcos I finished LV's other GP9 #301.I went with the final paint scheme instead of the yellow an tuscan.









                        300&301 together.Notice the different placement of the horns and application of LEHIGH Valley on the long hood.
