The “look” is primarily what I’m after, so thank you for your comment.
Ricketts, Alderson and other places along the LV Bowman’s Creek Branch were in a tourist region of lakes and streams; I’m not surprised you’ve been there.

Michael great looking boxcars; very well done. Nice start to the building. I'm always interested in how others scratch build things and what they build. Good start; keep going.

Ricketts wasn't too far from where I grew up, Mike. I've been to Ricketts Glen a few times over the years. A very beautiful area and park.
It looks like another great project!

Thank you, Chuck.
I’ve been through the general area on Interstate 81 so have come rather close to the places I’m modeling. Perhaps it’s time for me to get off the highway and visit some of the sights. It would make a good stopping-off point on our trips from WV to VT.

David, Thank you for the kind comments. I tend to switch back and forth between building structures and rolling stock in my modeling, enjoying both, but like you I enjoy structures the most of all model railroad activities.
Because I'm modeling from a prototype photo of a store in Alderson I don't plan to do the wing, but I agree that it adds a lot to the Ricketts company store.

Bob,
I picked up the thread here: http://railroad-line.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53003 partly partly because I reached 100 pages on this thread and because I'm spending more modeling time on the southern, Pennsylvania end of my layout.
However, I noticed that my "new" thread has not been updated since November, so it's time to do so.
