  • Fred's Santa Fe Layout

I started my N shelf layout with some 2 inch foam from Home Depot and 18 inch shelf brackets from Lowes. I screwed scrap 1X4s cut to width and glued foam cut to 30 inch shelves to them. I then laid out the track and cut the foam to fit. One piece of foam had been cut for the large center radius.

It includes a Kato Double Cross, a really nice turnout. Track's on Woodland Scenics Foam Roadbed.

Bridges were added and the foam was shaped with a heat gun.

    Some landscaping done.

Then Envirotec water added along with some rock castings and other scenic materials.

Added 1/8 masionite fascia secured with liquid nail foam glue and bamboo skewers. I left some long to hand flashlights, trash bags, and a NHRA gauge from.

Wow Fred, great layout! Great looking water and I love the foreground bridge. Also gotta give a  on the gas station with the night lighting as well.

This one is on it's way to being awesome.

Nice layout, Fred. I like the way you've lit your gas station.

Looks good Fred, are you going to black out the windows?

Either you've been saving up the pictures for a while (since last year, maybe?), or this is not your first layout. Good progress!

Yes, those were older pictures. So I took some tonight to show where I am as of today.

                        This is the mountain.

                        duh

Been working on the station for the layout. It's ready to plant other than the soldering of the lights.
