  • ...and nobody said. " You crushed it" yet.

I was expecting that response would be at the top of the list.

This part is on temporary hold while I do the 'basement redo". I'm trying to get in some modeling but not succeeding as planned. The top half of the building is giving me fits at the moment as to whether to continue with a board and batten top or do a corrugated steel top. That's as things stand right now.

        • Campbell's has made correlated siding in a few different heights for many years. It's what I'll be using on the Marine Leg in the North Coast harbor.

          • Bernd,

I like your idea of sheathing it with corrugated siding when you get back to this project. There seem to be a number of products on the market that would fit the bill for you and you would not have to build a tool of your own. Although, I know you like to do that sort of thing.

            • Mike,

Thanks for stopping by and adding your opinion. Much appreciated.

There are a number of products on the market but it limits you to what they want to sell to you. Campbell's has nice sheeting in their kits. The old Sydum kits have a very heavy sheet metal that doesn't seem quite corrugated. You are right though I do like to do this sort of thing and that's one reason nothing ever seems to get done on my projects. I'm to tied up in the little details.

I am working on something else that I'll post shortly. I needed to keep motivated so I started a kit for a small diorama. Just to keep me busy when I get frustrated with the rock-crusher project.

              • Campbell's sells the sheeting separately, in several sizes.

                  Dave,

Hey you're talking to a machinist here. We don't take the easy way out. We like to make our own tooling to make stuff.

                  • Bernd,

The crusher building looks rock solid, and I too like the idea of corrugated siding.
