              • Thanks for the encouragement guys.

Geezer, the tan paint is from a bottle of craft paint I bought a few years ago.

                  • I've got my corkboard layout finished and we're are of to our club show this weekend, hopefully there will be other corkboard layouts there

as I put out the challenge!

Will take some photo's to post. I took some of mine but due to lighting issues they came out pretty cr---y. I'll take some in decent light and post them next week.
                    Cheers Dave

don\'t put off till tomorrow what you can do the next day

                      • Well Folks our local club exhibition has come and gone and was a pretty good weekend overall.

I did well in the corkboard challenge taking out first place. My partner ended up doing most of the scenery ie. paint and trees, something

she had never done before. She loved it and is cracking to get on to the next project, probably a small on30 show layout that will

fit in the back of the SUV. I've already got the ideas for that.

I also ended up entering the Fordson critter that I showed you guys further back in the thread in the scratch built class, I put a little

log train behind it and mounted it on a display diorama that my old mate Max gave and took out first place with that as well.

So we had a pretty good weekend, I've never entered a competition before.

I will post some photo's in the next couple of days.
                        Cheers Dave

                            • If the Thanksgiving deadline was to get track laid and powered then I guess I've crossed the finish line.

I finished laying and wiring the last couple of pieces of track, that will lead into the mine, today.

Next step is finish getting the ground cover down. Paint the rails and ballasting will be next.
