FYI, mines always had a blacksmith's shop, usually near the entrance of the mine, because the drills and other tools needed constant sharpening and re-hardening.

Thank you everyone who stopped in, time to get back at this, I was kind of stalled on laying the track on the trestle. the curved track and spiking on a fragile item scared me.
Then the cavalry arrived from fast tracks, perfect 6, 8, and 10" curves are now a reality.

Using a Fast Tracks jig will get you bullet proof track on the trestle. The trestle is looking good.

I like the spindly trusses too....I can understand
