  • Saturday Morning Lounge

Good morning from the Jersey Highlands where the sun is shining and we are at 40 degrees with some much needed melting. We have one more day in the 40's before the polar vortex returns with some more snow as well.

Breakfast today is sausage, egg & cheese sandwiches, oatmeal, and English Muffins with either butter or jam (or both). There is also plenty of tea and our Railbender Blend of coffee.

I will finish putting the roof on my Challenge Project today. That will leave some 'finishing' items left on the to-do list.

I have been cleaning up some of the paths thru the snow while the temps have moderated. I need to do a bit more of that today.

    Have a great day!

    Morning Bruce & crew

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Looks like a nice day in South Jersey. Sun is shinning and the temp is already at 40.

But as Bruce said it isn't over yet!!!

Today some errands to run. Then time at the bench working on my Mill. Started the siding for other big wall.

    Everyone have a great day!!!
    Jerry

      Mornin' All!

Broken record here in the northern mitten: Snowing, 20F, grey on top, and white all around. Bruce's "polar vortex" has returned and will, like unwelcome house guests, be around for the foreseeable future. [:-cold]

I need to remind myself that it's still February.... [:-irked]

Breakfast sounds wonderful, Bruce; thanks for opening up!

With luck and some snow removal, The Errands can be dealt with in time to have some modeling fun this afternoon. Looking forward to it.

Stay warm, folks, and drive carefully!

Good morning Bruce and Jerry the breakfast really looks good maybe I'll sit on the patio at the table no one put away last fall. I think the weather men get a cash bonus for using the word polar vortex it sure has been used alot lately. We were in the train room tell 3 this morning Lucy said her back drop painting was going to go to stop. So I guess I'll read some forum stuff and look at the river ice flow by. Tom

Goor morning Bruce, Jerry and the rest of the crew, whenever they arrive! Bruce, I'll have one of those breakfast sandwiches! That sounds good.

I'm working today, and then headed to my son's house tonight, so no railroading for me today. Yesterday I was able to get the rest of the Wilkes-Barre branch laid out and began track laying there. Little by little!

          Have a great day!

Good afternoon all. Sun and high 40's in central Ohio. But cold is returning the first of the week. We can only hope March is better.

              Stay warm.

Cold and sunny in lower Michigan, temps going to plunge the next week or two so I hear. All the ice on the big lakes has taken our warmth buffer away from us.

I spent Friday making a curved turnout from scratch, #6 36"x24". It went well. Only need to clean it up and gap the frog and off to the layout with it.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. NASCAR season is off and running, Spring training is in progress. Yes, Pete, it's still February and the polar vertex, another media tag for just plain cold, is rotating back in place.

                BE SAFE!!! (stay warm)
