  • More Hot Coffee

Lots of hot coffee and water for tea, oatmeal to stick to your rigs and bacon and eggs if you wish. brought in some more coal for the pot-belly stove with all the new members the lounge might get busy. I think Mike get a free coffee mug for 10000 posts if he stops in. Just watching the weather Walt's sending over and a little cold air. Stay warm at the bench. Tom

Good morning, Tom and crew. We have rain in the forecast today.

We haven't had a question of the day for awhile, so today's question is, Are you spending more time doing model railroad things with all this miserable weather we're having?

For me, the answer is a simple yes.

    Have a good day.

Good morning Tom, George and the rest of the crew. We have freezing rain on the way for today, so there's another excuse for staying indoors once again.

As to the question, I have been gearing up for the challenge which starts at the end of the week. The work area is being cleaned and I have chosen a subject for the build.

      Have a great day!

        Morning everyone

        Thanks for the coffee Tom.

It's a cold day in South Jersey 7 earlier now its a whopping 20. Rain is in the air but not the freezing kind.

Yes have been spending more time at the bench since the weather turner to cold[:-cold]!

        Everyone have a great day!!

Finally, I can get in here. Comcast jerked us around for 4 days after a car hit a pole on Wed. before the storm.

And then I went out yesterday to snow blow the driveway and the starter is gone again on the machine. This is the 2nd time, piece of crap Toro although it works well when it starts. You cannot start it with the pull cord though...it just won't start or fire at all. So now more money to get the new starter, install it myself, and wait for the next storm. :erm: :erm:

At least I got some modeling done.

So now I have to go out and finish shoveling the driveway.

Tom has oatmeal that will stick to your rigs...no thanks, I've got enough stuff stuck to all my rigs already.

And now I see Walt has done some cooking at the other end of the kitchen. [:-bouncy]

Morning, Tom and Crew. Old man winter has dumped the white stuff in my driveway once again. I began my Christmas Holidays with a shovel in my hand and it looks like my vacation will end that way as well! Yikes! May find some time at the workbench today. I'm between projects and don't want the bench to go fallow! :erm:

Have a great day in the train room everyone! [:-bouncy]

I cleared about 8 inches or more of snow off the driveway after I got home from taking the Doll to work this morning, it's just 28 degrees but a bit breezy at the moment. We've forecast for another 6-10 more inches of snow the next 18 hours and then a precipitous plunge to the double digit sub zero range by tomorrow. On the way home this morning I stopped at a store for some supplies and was taken as to how bare the shelves were, but the folks there were 7-8 days without power starting just 2 weeks ago today and were we aware of the need to stock up. I'm good now for several days, too.

Morning Tom, and the rest of the crew. Coffee for me, while I await a call from someone to remove my snow...

Meanwhile my White German Shepherd STARR! loves it...

I'm going to try to get some modeling done today, can't go anywhere...

Morning everyone. Back to work after 2 weeks off. I expect to be pretty tired when I get home.

On the other hand I reached 1000 posts yesterday.

Congratulations, Glen and good morning to all. To answer Walt's question on the other side, it's about 45F with heavy fog/drizzle on the NH seacoast. My commuter train started out 10 min. late and lost another 10 min. waiting for an outbound to clear a recent station with an ill-considered single platform (facing 3 tracks). This is my last week of work before retirement, but it's also coming up on Town Meeting season, so my weekend went more to zoning changes than modeling.
