  • Monday Morning July 1 lounge

Morning All, coffee is on and coffee cake and a bowl of fruit are set out for everyone. First time I've opened the lounge.

Just saw an unusual sight down on the NS track below my house. It was a contractor's train consisting of a custom loco and a set of container well cars , one flat car and a cab car. It was used to pick up used ties withem in the wells.

Well everyone have a great day.

Good morning Mark and the rest of the RR-L Crew when the get here. Actually it's not been a good start for July for me. Got some tainted milk last night and was up all night with stomach problems. Today I officially become Commander of the K of C Honor Guard team and already have issues to deal with. I could go on but I won't as it's not even noon yet. [}]

Cool here today with overcast skies and a threat of rain, yet again, later today. We are starting to get a bit soggy around here. Lucky for us we're on high ground. We have company arriving this afternoon so I need to get busy and get orders out the door before they arrive.

Everyone have a Fun and Safe day in the Train Yard.

Morning all. Looking to be a fairly nice day in the Denver area. I still can't locate some camera parts (charger and cable to connect to PC) so I'm in no-man's camera hell. I want to post some pics but can't do it without the parts. I don't want to buy new parts as I fully intend to replace the camera this year due to it being around 10 years old or older. Other than that, guess that I'll continue to do a bit of construction at the bench and document the build with fewer pictures.

      Have a good one everyone.

Life is to short to build all of the models I want to.

        Good Morning guy's'

Grey and cool here this morning, I've had three coffees already just being lazy here on Canada Day. Happy 146th Birthday Canada!

I made a great trade or barter yesterday. I got two steam engines a 4-6-2 and an 0-8-0 with sound and a new Downtown Deco building kit for weathering two engines and a box car.

        What a score!

id="Georgia">id="size3">I don't know if I am alive or what after this month. Anyway, went to the Dr. and he said that my brain (I really have one of those) has shrunk (this is one of the benefits of old age). Anyway, as Nature cannot stand a vacuum, she tries to fill it with whatever; this is hydrocortexspacial fluid and that transfers to "water on the brain" (Really''' Sometime this week they are going to do a spinal tap and see what happens. They may install a shunt to help drain the excess fluid and get me back to "normal" whatever that is. We'll see. Of course this fluid affects a great many things in your body; balance etc. I really don't drive anymore . Of course my double cataract surgery has vastly changed my vision and I don't need glasses except to read but there are complications with that too. I have to wait and see what this "brain drain" does. It should be an interesting week. On top of all that Mom had a bout with gall stones and they are going to take that out soon too. I think I'll just change my address to the local hospital for a week or two. Life can sure get interesting. Getting some things on the old rail line and it will be interesting to see what happens.

Catch you all the next time.

            JR,

Keep the engine running and the lights on and be ready for a quick getaway.

            Good luck this week.

Good luck JR, good afternoon to the rest of you. Kris, can you take the memory card out of the camera and put in a card reader, either built into your PC or separate, attached via USB?

                  Good luck, J.R.

We are in Aruba with one of our sons and his family at our timeshare. Our two granddaughters are having a blast at both to pool and the beach. It is the first time out of the country for both of them. It is also a great way for me to transition back into retirement.

We will be back in the States next Sunday.
