  • On30ima gondola

    Hi all.

Ive been busy on this gondola from Dave Mason at On30ima. Its my first attempt at building a kit like this, and Im really enjoying the ride.

So far Ive built the majority of the frame and got a coat of primer on it.The rainy weather isnt ideal for spraying paint, so ill have to wait till later in the week before I paint her.

The trucks are Boulder Valley Models trucks and are sold seperately on Daves site.

Let me know your thoughts. The stake pockets will be straightened out once I add the stakes.

I like it so far. I haven't built one of his kits yet but they have always appealed to me.

Nice progress ... and a really neat shadow effect from having the light above the open framework!
        Cheers,

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen. Much appreciated.

Dallas was playing around with my new phone when I took that pic. Its got a 13mp camera on it. You gotta love technology.

Nice work Wes. I like that dark gray color better than the black I usually use on my frames.

Dallas' trucks really work well on these kits.

What does "On30ima" stand for? I've been looking for some kits to eventually save up for (money's tight at my house and I don't have a dime in the train fund! Lol)

But I enjoy looking around and seeing what's out there, seeing what catches my eye to save up for.

Thanks for posting that Rick. Cody, I don't know what the "IMA" stands for. The previous owner of the company had that domain name and I just kept it when I bought him out.
