I moved to the lift out area. I built up the sulptamold on top of the lift out. Keeping the edges vertical.

Next I started blending the edge of the creek bank into the upper part of the layout.

Next I needed to make a place for the station. I had the base already made. So I just framed the base with 3/4" Luan. The frame will allow me to bring the ground cover right up the the edge of the base while allowing it to be removed if needed...

Thanks Larry and Ray. Yep the holes are for lighting and sound.. I have 4 speakers in the station and full lighting..

Well I have gotten alot of work done since my last post on the layout. I have applied the Home made Sculpt a Mold around the station. I have not added any zip texturing or dirt yet. waiting to do that all at once.

Hey Guys,
Its hard to believe it has been 2 months since my last post. I have done a few small things but have really been busy with family stuff. As always my wife is in Nicaragua for 2 week on a mission trip.
I always take that time off to get some things I want to do around the shop. I have been working on the ground cover around the peninsula. Getting some buildings in place and getting some basic ground cover in place....

I have 15 more days to go. I have actually glued the main part together and hopefully start work on it soon. I have also glued stringer around the edges of the building so it can be removed if needed and also bring the ground cover up to it...

I was planning on getting most of the ground cover down for the next 2 weeks. So the next thing i need to do was to work on the area around the turntable. I figured out the width of the walkway. I laid stringers to lay the planks on the flat area.
