  • Tuesday Morning Lounge

Good morning crew. I've just finished brewing a fresh pot of coffee – that stuff in the pot was getting pretty ripe. I stopped by Panera on the way here and have a couple boxes of cinnamon crunch bagels as well as some plain ones for those of you watching your waist lines.

Sit down and tell us about your current model building project. Mine is my Par Four Challenge entry, but I got sidetracked with taxes yesterday and didn't do a thing with it (I did finish my taxes, though). I'm having a lot of fun with it and I'm sure the others participating can say the same.

    Have a good day.

With sufficient thrust pigs fly just fine.

    Hi George,

I'll grab a cup of that fresh pot with ya. Just got back fom Phoenix, now onto Vegas this week

and Tennessee next. Whew, no bench time, just have to pay the bills!

My current project is the BIS Tidewater Build Thread in Craftsman Corner. I like the challenge of

older kits but just picked up Bar Mills Hunch Landing too. Water is my life!

Sorry. have to catch a plane. Can't wait to retire with all you other fellows and

spend a LOT more time on this wonderful hobby and with RR Line friends!

Good Morning George, Carl and the rest of the RR-L Crew, even DaveM when he rolls in.

I'll have a cup of your fresh brew and a half of a plain roll please. This morning I feel like something the cat dragged in. Bought a 'walking' treadmill yesterday and hauled it home. Unloaded it in the garage and assembled it there.... big mistake as it wouldn't quite make it throught he doors (3) to the bedroom. So, we brought it in the frond door and I disassembled it there. Wrapped it in shipping plastic, stood it on end on a 2 wheel dolly and moved it to the bedroom. Now all I need is to re-assemble it... that's after all the pain in my legs, arms and back go away which is hopefully soon. I definately got my workout done yesterday.

I'm trying to get back to the new HO scale kit but getting new orders out the door takes precident and there have been a lot of them. Now, what would one guy be doing with 45 O scale COFFINS? [:0]

Everyone have a Fun and Safe day in the Train Yard.

        Good morning all,

Walt, maybe they had another Holocaust.

Rainy Tuesday down here. Low last night was 65, weatherman says 35 in the morning. Go figure.

This damned weather keeps seesawing back and forth. Good for modeling, not for outside work.

Still working on my Par 4 entry. Oh well.

        Have a great day ,

Always measure doorways before trying to get something into the house!

Cloudy here but shouldn't get any snow on the South Shore. Still busy with phone calls to banks, etc. who can't seem to get anything right.

Seems as available time for modeling is less lately....and I'm supposed to be semi-retired. :erm:

          Have a nice day.

Well I stopped in late last night and no one came in so I went home. Walt didn't say anything about the storm so i guess it hasn't hit yet. Thanks for the fresh coffee George and a cinnamon bagel sounds good. The warning about the storm just came over the TV and I'm supposed to go operate on a friends layout later tonight. I still have snow from last week. Stay in and work on your trains and be safe. Tom

He could be building the same Undertaker's house kit that's next in the queue on my workbench.

I was actually looking for O scale coffins for it up until recently when I located a few...

Good morning George and everyone else! I'll have a cup of that coffee and a cinnamon crunch bagel. That sounds good. The heck with my waist line!

No storm here yet in south Jersey. They say we might get 2-4" of the white stuff, but I'll believe it when I see it. IT will most likely just rain here as it usually does.

So I'm off from work today am heading downstairs to make some more progress on the layout. I guess it's time to update my thread, which I haven't updated for quite a while. I'm laying more track so there's now something more to show.

Well, I hope everyone has a great day and as for this 'storm', I hope everyone gets spared!

We keep getting more and more dire predictions on SNOW. Now 3-12 Inches. Mary and I are suppose to go over to the Church this afternoon and replace light weight fishing line with heavy on a plexiglass hanging Cross. it's long strips, various lengths, about 30, that make up a very facinating Cross. We started this two years ago and then they decided not to use it. Now they want to.

Well, whatever he needs 45 coffins for I don't know but he'll have them stacked around the place for a while. Fact is I don't have that many made up and as cold as it is, it will be Thursday before I can start the casting of them. I'll have to do a whole bunch up.

right now it's just light rain outside but we'll see what 4 PM brings!

Good morning all, sun breaking through the maritime layer of clouds. Forecast for rain later this week...means my rain will eventually be your weather down the road.

While I'm here, I'll just nurse a cup of coffee.

Started to scratch build a depot for my San Martine and Northern. Based, loosely, on T&P's Hooks, Tx station on the Bonham sub division. I'll see how this goes.

                    All have a great day!

Bright sun but breezy and cold in MI this morning, we're on the outer edges of Walt's storm, in fact may miss all the snow.

Spent the morning between the bank and credit union straightening out a lost check to the CU for the car payment. Stopped payment on the initial check, wrote a new one and set up auto pay for now on. Cost $$ when other people screw you up, 45 min on hold with the CU, $30 stop check fee, 40 mile round trip to work it out in person. THEN I got almost home and forgot I had to go to the grocery store so we could have supper tonight.

Headed to the layout shortly, even if I don't do anything it will be more relaxing.

                        Everyone have a good day.

                        BE SAFE!!

A late good afternoon to the entire crew. It looks like Walt's storm will catch us late tomorrow into Thursday. How much snow we get depends on which weather service you follow. They all agree that it will be a 'plowable' amount of wet, heavy snow. It looks like it will be another 4:30 a.m. wake-up on Thursday to decide on the school opening/closing. :erm:

I have to go back to work tonight for a short Board of Ed Meeting. I usually stay straight through, but I was able to get out a little early this afternoon which made the round-trip home worth the effort.

I am still working on the scratch build of a back-woods combine to finish up my 'Cars Certificate' for the NMRA Achievement Program.

                          Have a great day!

Bruce, the STORM HAS STARTED.... Just looked out the door and it don't look nice out there. All the trees, roads, everything covered with a thin layer of ice and now snow on it. They are calling this the "Heart Attack Storm" so keep that in mind if you decided to go out in it.
