See Bill I need this input So things fall in place like they should , I am just a small time model railroader, and Jbvb I think I am going to

change that whole thing , looking at it now it will cause a small problem. I will post the changes on sunday.

Bill I will be happy when its right:-)) thank you for your input and to all for the good points If i missed something just point it out. Mike C

helped me out a lot back in the day . my train club guys dont really seem to care . As mike had said " I am a busy man, I got a railroad to run"

Another question, that I'm not sure has been answered.

Do you have access to the outside of the layout?

If not any engine that is stuck inside the roundhouse might be a real bear trying to get it out.

Also if the overpass is the tracks closer to the edge of the inside of the layout labeled freight house/radiator shop, and you are trying to switch cars to include uncoupling the yard/roundhouse area, it would mean reaching over the elevated area to a lower level tracks, not the best plan for physical operation with out accidents.

By raising the roundhouse/yard area, you'll eliminate this problem quite a bit.

If you have access to the outside these questions are moot.

            update and changes made:

I took out the over pass to be at level ground and put a " X " crossing instead of going over with a round behind it as a few have pointed out reaching to fix and build scenes could cause a problem. The longest span is 26" but will be a hill top with houses on it.

give you and idea of how much space i have and stretchability to reach and repair the layout . You guys were a great help pointed out things I could have miss and result in another layout Gone Bad....lol

              Hi Bill,

IMHO I think you would be a lot happier if you moved the yard/roundhouse to the front loop and the freight hse/rad. shop to the back loop letting the back loop's track disappear below and behind the engine service facilities and roundhouse. ETs and Yards requires so much five finger switching that reaching over the higher front loop to get to them would get old real fast.
