    New power for the Mineral Belt Line

    The little Porters and Shays were too limited getting the coal up to the mines and the ore back down. So management of the Mineral Belt ordered two new 2-4-0s from Baldwin. Initial reports are that they track very well and outperform the Porters at little additional fuel cost. The larger tenders give them the range needed to service the mines and mills in a timely fashion. All in all a very satisfying exercise.



    Also, I thought that having just joined the forum, I should post something to see if I can make it all work.

      Nice! Those Forney conversions are on my to do list eventually. I'm racking up quite a list in a short amount of time!
