Specifically the motor and running gear. I am currently starting the long process of designing a few locomotives and have been scratching my head on who has the largest selection of power - or rather if it will be better to use a secondary supplier like NWSL rather than buying a train from a manufacturer and scrapping the body.
With diesels and the like, it isn't that big of a deal, NWSL has plenty of choices there - but with the steam locos, the various connecting rods and the like make for a bit more work in order to get them looking and working correctly.
