      • Thanks Guys!

Bob the decals are old ones I have had made earlier. The were a little fragile but fitted perfectly. Jackson & Sharp I have to check, I did’nt know he had those too.

            • Great looking car! The designer told me he was very proud of the work you did with his kit.

Been ages since posting last. Been busy hosting a train meet among other things. Well some modeling has been done. I’m building a Bar Mills water tower as you can see from the photos below. A water gage needs to be mounted.
And a WS victorian cottage with a elaborate paint scheme (tested on one wall) which I’m not sure I like yet????

                • Håkan, the paint scheme looks good. I like colors. But, whether to use those colors or not might depend on how houses were painted in that area at that time.

                  • Thanks Bill, the colors of that period and area is what I have been thinking of. Is it appropriate that is the question.
I found the inspiration from a online photo of a house in San Jose history museum

                    • Håkan,

Both structures look very nice. The water tower has a lot of personality.

Regarding the house colors, I like the red body and the cream trim, but not the pink on the gables. Does not look historic to me. A dark color like brown or the red used for the body would work better in my opinion.

                      • Very nice Håkan! I love the water tank. Nice proportions and shape. Is that the FSM tank.
Like the house too. The wall colors are appropriate for the 70's. might I suggest a dark brown for trim and window frames. Sashes could be black or red.

Love the structures! The house looks very California! The wood and stone work on the water tower are excellent! Love the textures and detail.

                          • Thanks Mike for input! The top pink is my own idea as the San Jose house has the red color on all of the wall.

Bob thanks! No its Bar Mills Cranberry yard series. Lovely castings and very easy to build. I’ll try your and Mikes color suggestions on different walls and go from there????

Thanks Scott for the kind words!

                            • Håkan, You have probably already found many examples, but here are a couple they may help your search for authentic colors:

                              • Thanks Bill! I’ll check them out

I tried Bobs scheme suggestion. One with the sashes still light blue and the other one with black sashes.
I think they both look rather nice. Perhaps replace the black with more lighter grey to make the sashes pop out more
