  • Hi Rod,

I see you said you have a blog? Can you give us a link? If you have photos in your blog it's very easy to link those to a post here by using the tags. I'll show you how to do that.

      • Rod,

That's a nice looking railroad you're building. I'll be following along!

        • Howdy Folks,

As I mentioned, I've been building some rolling stock odds and ends.

Here's a little 18' boxcar scratch-built in wood over an N-scale MDC underframe:

It's got the usual Grandt Line bits and some cut leavers bent from wire. It's just in primer at the moment. It will be painted and weathered eventually.

          Thanks for lookin'!

          -Cody

          • I should mention these are all HOn30...

This is an in the works heavy duty flatcar

It's built over another N scale underframe (of unknown origin). It still needs some bits added but I like how it's turning out.

            More to follow!

            • A gondola I've just sprayed with primer.

It's kinda minimally detailed, I may add some bits at some point but I'm enjoying getting some colour so to projects that have been sitting around for years...

This one has really been sitting around for years:

Another built over an MDC underframe using both wood (body) and styrene (cupola). Gotta paint that smoketrack...

              More soon!

                  • Finally got some lettering on my SR&N flanger:

                    Still needs a stack though...

                    Finally an HOn3 Flatcar:

It was built from a Durango Press kit with some low sides added for gravel service. It's a metal kit so it's nice and heavy.

Hope you all enjoy, what's everyone working on?

                      • Rod,

Sorry to take so long to show how to post pictures. The wife and I get away for the weekend to our summer home in the Thousand Islands. Don't have internet there yet. But, here are your pictures from the Campbell Kit of the Silver Spur Mine. They are of the correct size for posting on this forum, 1024 pixels wide by 485 tall. In order to post those pictures I went to your Blog and clicked on the series of pictures. I then right clicked on a picture. A drop down box should show up on the screen. At the very bottom it'll say "properties". Right click on that. A small screen will open up. The information you are looking for is to the right of Properties (URL). You them use your left mouse button to highlight all the letters and numbers.

This is what you want to highlight from the letters https all the way to and including jpg : https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-uNSJEiQMl...4x485%2529.jpg

Then in your Posting Form in the third row down you'll see a little yellow square with mountain peaks in it. Click on that and it will enter the image tags. They will be abbreviated to img and /img in brackets. Place the cursor between the middle brackets, right click. A drop down box will open. Click on "Post". Your image should now be posted. Click the review button to make sure your picture is in the post. This method is for Windows 7 Professional on my desktop computer. I'll post instructions for Windows 10 when I get to my laptop. The procedure is almost the same except for some wording. If you are using an Apple it might be different. I can't help out there. Here are your pictures posted as I described. The first picture is a bit large by being 1506 by 713. Notice that due to the width of 1506 pixels you have to scroll to the right to see the whole first picture, but the others are just fine.

Nice work on that kit by the way.

                        Bernd

                            • Hello All,

Larry (BigLars) posted a great group shot of critters to his Corps of Canadian Railway Troops – Europe 1918 thread:

                              http://www.railroad-line.com/forum/t...5&whichpage=50

I've always liked shots like this so I posed my HOn30 fleet (and one HOn3 engine) for a group shot:

Post your roster shots if ya wanna!
