I had KC's "Thrakattack" and listened to it once, then it sat on the shelf for years until I changed jobs and ended up working until midnight or one in the morning every day. I took the CD to work and loaded it into iTunes. Sleep deprivation was the key to understanding ... also got into Bang on a Can, Ensemble Modern, etc. Lack of sleep really widened my musical horizons.

my father plays the keyboard and used to teach, he was always playing jean michel jarre when i was a kid, and its kept with me.

last, but not least, not a song so much as an artist, ive seen this guy a few times everytime ive been to antwerp, always in the same spot, he cycles around his piano (you read that right) and puts on quite a show always has a crowd even before he starts playing.
