Taking a lazy day.. not too much painting, not too much modeling either...
A visit from the bank made me think of having a bank for the citizens of Convers. I browsed old photos, and found a tiny, wooden one in Skowhegan. I sketched up a slightly similar greek revival bank for the main street. To avoid dreariness I'll have some eyecatching in the street in front of it I guess (no robbery or similar... just a horse cart or some people meeting and chatting).
Also took a couple of shots of the future main street area... as you can see there are still a lot of structures missing.

i'll compair the prices of what i find when im away, if it works out cheaper over there, i'll buy them there, if not i'll wait and get them off the net here, but thanks anyway
troels the bank looks good, a nice cameo might be to show a new safe being unloaded from a truck? (rather then a bank robbery, or ram raid :P )

The bank at Old Sturbridge Village is one of my favorite buildings. Unfortunately, OSV's website is down right now, but here's a photo from another website: http://gonewengland.about.com/library/blosv3.htm

Dave, that is a seet little bank too. The greek revival style is really appealing.
I was hoping to find a prototype for a wooden bank, and found the one in Skowhegan. Convers is a very little town, so a very small bank was suitable.

I got a sudden craving for something different than structure building... so I built a platform for the Barrel & Crate, and have begun some seawalls for the Crabapple Cove quay. I will extend the track on pilings in front of the B&C, and get a new trackside industry for operating. Then I filled the gap towards the salt dealer, ready for some plaster mess:-) The bank will wait a day or two I guess...
