patrik, i like the new plan, looks like you're ganna have more space, more track (so more running options) and some of the buildings looks as if they are ganna fit in with the sence better then before. i like it and its great to see you've made a start too! heres to many posts and updates! i look forward to it

I like the second plan Patrik. I'll offer these two comments;- you only need a Ash Pit if your engine are going to burn coal.
- I would move the cattle pens to the other side of the track. You don't have to model the back fence, you can have it in your aisle.

How did you cut the turntable hole? Sabre saw? I have to admit my efforts to get a nice round even hole have not worked very well.

Hi Dave I'm from the small HO side but I've used a router most of the time it's just a little missy but with a jig you get nice round holes. Tom

Patrik I like what you've started. I will be following closely. I too will be starting a layout although more modest than yours in the next couple of months and hope to start a thread on this forum.

It has been a while since I updated this thread. Havent been modeling that much this year, until one month ago when I started to work on a smaller section, 7'x28'' (210 x 65cm). This section can be later be connected with the other planned sections when (if) I start building those.

One week ago, the track workers finnishing off the track and ballast laying.
Here I have weathered the ballast.

Great start.. I noticed that the 2 x 4 that you have under the sections are width-horizontal, you may want to reinforce that with a 2 x 4 with the width vertical for more strength.
