    All Nation Freight Trailer

    Well, it finally found a bit of open space on my bench to be completed!



    Some one put this together very nicely and left it for me to complete!!!

    And, I've even got the plans




    I know that there's been lots of conversation about the demise of the AN line and all of the parts, etc. But, I'd still seriously consider climbing out on a thin limb to but up the entire traction/trolley line from AN!

      Pure luck on this one - eBay - from a seller that apparently was clearing out the closet at what were at the time to me somewhat high But it Now pricing, but that has been adjusted to being reasonable given my penurious nature.

      Nonetheless, I pounced and wished that I had moved faster since others were involved in that feeding frenzy,

        This Zimmer All-Nation box trailer is getting close to done -- some small details to add and then off to get painted. But, I can't seem to locate ITS decals for it :erm: [:-cry]

            I don't know about this specific car, but some swing-coupler installations had a curved carrying bar underneath the shank more or less below the anticlimber. I don't see it on the AN drawings, though.

              It's not on the drawing, but it's on the car - that's a Q-car radial coupler - white metal pewter casting on a brass carrying bracket that allows it to swivel the full radius of the end of the car.

              I don't know what AN sold if anything for a radial coupler; Wagner and now Current Line sells the Wagner line and then Q-car, and then PSC still sells the old Kemtron radial coupler as a brass kit. I've assembled & installed one set and it was such a pain that I'm putting the other 2 sets I have up for sale...

                I managed to do a little painting in my spare time.........





                Got a set of decals on hand for ITS, so that's next. Wish I could get another set or 3 of those decals though!

                      Thanks! I'm really pleased with how this car turned out and I'm looking forward to taking on the reefer box trailer that I have in the queue now - just have to sort out the decal issue before starting in on it.

                      Layout? Hmmm.......it's a disaster zone and an embarassment to nature,[B)] but I think I can find a picture or 3 of some select areas. I've really neglected it for a long time now.... :erm: If the Gov't budget cuts that kick in due to the super committee not acting come to pass, I'll have plenty of time on my hands,
