            Tillamook RR for you all...small collection I only rode it once, fun run though.





























            This was a great locomotive to ride behind, very smooth, no pounding of iron sensations. Not sure if its still active after the storms of last year or the year before. By all means if you get there and its running its worth the trip, in expensive and great views as you will see.

            BTW...this is a early digital camera only 3MP, these files were put onto floppys.

              Good Morning, This will likely finish up the Tillamook RR ride. If you are that way and its running do ride it. Also visit the Vintage Air museum located near by in one of the old Blimp hangers.

                I was walking around Camden today snapping pics and ran across the building. IT BEGS to be modeled. I'm thinking .. I keep seeing posts on forums where people talk about how to take a photograph and make a scale drawing. Sketchup has a thing called "Match Photo" which allows you to do exactly that. That means I need to take photos from an angle so that I can see the corner of the building and enough vertical and horizontal lines of the building so that I can align the perspective lines in Sketchup. So .. that's coming. In the meantime .. isn't she beautiful?

                    Good afternoon all,

                    I thought I would do some other part of the country...as in Montana. Lots of photos for your referencing pleasures...We will start with Star Montana, circa 1969. My new father-inlaw started a gold mine just west of here, we visited him while he was prospecting, area full of rattlesnakes and good gold ore. I happend on this site and asked the owner if I could take some pictures, these are scans from prints, I am sure I have the negatives someplace. Why is this important, because I found it again almost 35 years later...with a digital camera.






















                    More later...then we will do the digital side. Some of the hardware that was there in 69 was there later. The owner told me that disney came in and bought stuff for Disney Europe.

                      Les .. it was overcast so can't say for sure about the color. Tomorrow if sun is out will go back .. this time I am taking my tripod and my - donno whatcha callit .. yardstick painted. You stick it in the photo to scale from ..
                      Just had a thought. Could paint primary colors on that stick .. red, blue, yellow down on the white. That way you could also adjust color.

                          Les. Like I said, I am working on getting the info needed to build this. I did a VERY 'Quick and Dirty' Match Photo using Sketchup. I have only projected the graphic from one photo. I can do this for all four sides but .. want some better shots. Still .. this vid gives you an idea of the power of a free program .. and what can be done from photos ..
