  • Tom Johnson's Article in the New MR

My October issue of Model Railroader arrived today. It has a great article, “Continue your roads into the backdrop” by Tom Johnson (prrvandalia). It explains in detail how he achieves the great effect you see in his pictures on the forum of a road disappearing into the background.

Hi, George - thanks for pointing it out. I thought those pictures looked familiar! And it is an excellent article - clear and easy to follow.

George I got mine as well, great article. He does the best continued roads into a backdrop I've ever seen.

Congratulations, Tom on the best continued backdrop scenes going.
