      Yeh'you just have to love these old TM cars,I must have 25 of'em mostly beer cars with another batch coming that were left in a friends will.

        Nice 4 cars. Only one I have is the beer car. I guess like you when I looked for them I would get the beer cars first. Then run out of money and go home. Also the about the outside braced box cars. A lot were made but you dont see many at the shows. I only have 2. Again I guess at the shows when confronted with a choice, I always bought the colorfull reefer or box car

          SOMEHOW GN 2-6-8-0 HAS PUT 2 1024 x 768 PHOTOS SIDE BY SIDE TOTAL 2048 x 1536. CAN YOU OR GN 2-6-8-0 MOVE THE PHOTOS BACK IN LINE. HALF OF INFO GOES OUT OF FRAME TO THE RIGHT. a TEXT POST IS HARD TO LOOK AT.EVEN HALF OF THE POSTING FORUM BOX DOES THE SAME.

                Nice walk down memory lane. My dad has a pretty large number of TM cars. I remember being with him when he purchased them, mostly at long gone hobby shops in Northern New Jersey but sometimes at shows.

                The Ballantine car is a favorite, but it would be considering that beer was brewed in New Jersey.

                            I think this is a Train Miniature car. My wife's name is Olimpia (different spelling), so I slightly back-dated an Olympia beer reefer for my 1890s era layout:

                            p.s. That's "natural weathering" on the top of that car, it was on the layout when I was doing some really nasty dirty stuff, and needs to be cleaned and properly weathered.

                              Dave ; Your Oli'e is a life like body on a MDC frame. The queen posts truss rods and fox trucks look very Model Die Casting to me.

                                The frame is actually 'scratchbuilt', and needs some more work (at least a brake casting.)
