  • Please say hi to rail artist Don Coker

Please say hi to Don Coker. Don lives in Columbus, GA, where he is is a newspaper art director and artist. Don also maintains a home studio, where he does cover illustrations for books (including one for Mal Ferrell's Slow Trains Down South). In addition, his painting "High Noon on the Argent" (seen below) graced the cover of the June 01 Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette.

Don has been a model railroader for many years, working mostly in N and On30. He's recently started planning a new layout, one which will most likely be a standard gauge logging/coal hauling shortline.

Here is a copy of Don's "High Noon on the Argent."

And here is a copy of another of Don's paintings. This one is titled "Argent Number Three."

          Don,

Welcome to the RR-L Fourms. I had the pleasure of seeing Argent No.7 on static display in S.C. this summer. They must have had some operation.
