I did not want to put a wall on the end of the addition. It is the first thing anyone will see when walking into the train room. Instead I went with a rolled up canvas that the little people could roll down when they had the heater lit. It was pretty simple, just a 4x8, some string, and a Kleenex.
Roland as usual, the canvas looks good.
My only question is how do the LP roll it up?
Might be easier for your little guys if it were hung like a curtain and pulled open from the middle.
Rick. I never thought of that. As with most of my models, it doesn't have to work, just look like it might. I guess I will build them a ladder and stock the fridge with beer, maybe they can figure something out.
Once you've built the roof, you can claim that it hides the mechanism for raising and lowering the canvas. On the other hand, you don't have to explain anything at all. Just tell people to have a beer and chill.
Mike
