  • Great colors on the wood.

    • May I look around in your closet for a while? There's no telling what a person might find.

It looks very real. And I agree with what Rick said about the colors on the wood being very good.

      • Roland sounds like your closet is more of a "treasure trove" full of good stuff. Very nicely done.

        • Thanks everyone. I'm glad I found a place for it on the layout.

As far as the closet goes, every time Mrs Hopeless opens the closet door I get in trouble. There is enough cut up foam to build another layout just scattered all over the floor. Plus piles of wood and some half built kits, not train related, and a pile of books. Some day I will clean it.

          • Roland,

You have a very nice layout and all of your structures are built top notch ! So, you're not "totally Hopeless" !!

            • Roland,

Great view of a great layout! Love the shed as well. It will probably take a person many years to look at all the cool details on your layout!

              • Rich, Scott, Thanks for the comments.

Hopeless was the name I used for one of our dogs. We lost him in 2015. He was a great little dog.

ID:	970607 It has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have some small progress that I will post a picture of. I call it the Not So Grand Canyon. It is in an area that connects 2 sections of the layout and I wanted a trestle to give some separation the sections.

I just dusted off 2 years worth of dust on my structures. Omg what a mess it was!

Nice start, the slopes to the water looks good. I like the invisible trestle as well!

That's going to be an extremely nice scene when you're finished. You're off to a great start, especially the stream meandering into the distance.
