  • Roland, good looking boiler.

That's not a SW is it?

Excellent modeling. Can't wait to see it painted and weathered.

      • Thanks guys.

Rick, The boiler is from Wiseman. The one from SW looked kind of big for what I want.

        • Roland,

I am watching and learning. I want to try to scratch build a boiler from a bunch of spare parts I have.

I am excited to see you back at work. That boiler looks pretty good. Can't wait for the next update.

            • Nice boiler, Roland. It looks like a mix of scratchbuild and using commercial details.

                    • Finially got around to finishing the boiler tonight.

Here is a shot with the engine and a figure for size.

Now I have to build some sort of concrete base then connect the piping.

Question, does anyone know what kind of connection is used to get water into the boiler, and where does it connect to?

                      Thanks, Roland

                          • Roland -

I might suggest a small gas driven motor that

connects to a well (pipe in the ground) that would

feed a barrel (reservoir) with some kind of piping

                            back to the boiler.....capiche?

                            Just a thought.....

                              • Very nicely done and painted boiler, Roland. I have watched my sawmill pictures to see if I could help you with the piping between the boiler and machine (since they both look very close to yours), but they are not very explicit on this...
