Thanks for the kind comments. I am trying to figure out how to put a runaround near the wharf but lack the room.

Jerry, the backdrop was painted by me with a 2 inch brush like the guy who used to be on TV. I used a few different shades of green craft paint.

Larry, Every one is invited. I live in Lancaster PA. Anyone visiting the area is welcome.

            Roland,

That guy on TV was Bob Ross and his happy little trees. Man that guy could make things appear right before your eyes.

Did you paint your backdrop on the wall or on something else and then place it behind the layout?

I'm facing doing something behind my shelf modules soon and was wondering how you did yours.

Randy, First I hung 4x4 pieces of masonite, then painted the blue. I just rough painted the green with a small foam roller, then added the trees. I tried to keep things as simple as possible.

Hi again. Going to an ON30 gathering this weekend and put this together. The buildings have been shown before. I have added a base and a few trees. I will also be taking the watertower, blacksmith shop and engine house. Next week all but the EH will be placed permanently on the layout.

The gathering is near Reading PA. Hope everything survives the trip.

                      Roland,

Even if we have seen the building before the pictures of the updates never get old.

                      So where is the show?

                            Roland --

Looks terrific all over ... really like the coloring of your structure, the rich tones of your ground cover and the detailing in the "cab" of the truck, etc, etc. Have fun!
                            Cheers,

                            Dallas

Thank you all for your kind comments. The truck is from McKinze Iron&Steel Co. I don't know if it is still available. Beautiful kit but I found it a little difficult to get it right.
