Roland, I was sure that the pics of your layout in the works would be fabulous as is all your modelling. I was not disappointed, they show some great logging scenes. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to all for the kind comments. To answer your questions, the layout is in a 11x10 room. 2ft wide around 3 walls and a 16inch wide center section. Kind of an E shape. I have indeed been influenced by the Red Stag, and also the Dolly Varden Railroad. This is the first time I have had enough room to combine elements of both. The EH will sit at the end of the center section which also will have a small freight yard. I will try to take some photos of the styrofoam areas and post a track plan after I draw one up.
Roland, your layout is very impressive. I would love to see a mini-tutorial on how you do your trees as I have a friend who needs to build many tall pines like the ones you have built. Keep up with the fine work!
Nice Roland. You've done a good job in compacting it down to a fairly small space, especially for an On30 layout that still provides a number of operating potentials. Reminds me very much of the area I have for my home set up. The peninsular will make a really nice focus point upon entry to the room, especially with that fine engine shed as one of the first things you see. Great progress, please continue to document your fine work within the great little creative space you have there...
