    St Partick's Day lounge

    Good morning everyone. I felt it was appropriate to host today's lounge from Ireland seeing as it is the unofficial international Ireland day today [:-clover]

    Today we celebrate that St Patrick banished snakes from Ireland (not that there every were any!) and go out to watch the parades and drink loads of Guiness.

    First We'll need a good hearty breakfast to line the stomachs. Eggs, rashers, sausages, fried tomatoes, black pudding and white pudding are on the table, washed down with Barry's tea. The Irish breakfast of champions!

    What are you all up to? It's a public holiday so i'm going out to watch the parade and go to the street theatre and market also on today.

    Erin Go Bragh Neil and all who wander in later today. St. Patrick's Day - a day when we are all at least a little Irish[^] I can proudly say I am Irish on my mother's side of the family.

    Supposed to be sunny and 60 here in northern Maine today.

    I'll be posting some pictures later today (maybe) on my latest modeling efforts.

      Looks to be a warm one here in central NJ today and for the rest of the week.

      It looks like I will be working this weekend, so as usual I will miss the division meet :erm: . Anyone have plans for the special day?

        Happy St. Paddy's Day to those who are Irish, like me, and those who can wish they were.

        I come from a southwestern ontario town called Listowel where they are in the middle of a week-long celebration called Paddyfest. The weather will be great, lots of sun.

        Here in Ottawa they are calling for 16-17 degrees today (about 62 - 66 F) so all is well.

        Enjoy yourselves and lift a glass of green.

        Neil, I'll join you in a glass of Guinness after work - even if just in spirit.

          Howdy All and a Happy St Patrick's Day to all my friends. Looks like another great day here in mid-Michigan. Will be out of work at 2:30P and I'm guessing there is a Guiness in my future today even with the Weight Watchers diet in force!!

            St. Patrick's Dayid="green"> greetings from Michigan. We have a bright sky and sun this morning, temp yesterday was see in the 60s and today is supposed to be as nice or nicer.

            Not much news here, I finished the paint on an SD40-2 I've been working on, a bit of touchup color spotting to do and then waiting for my new decals to arrive. Trying a new 'modern diesel' scheme on the unit.

            I hope all have a good day, I have to take a little road trip today and first stop will be for fuel, I was just notified by text message that gas prices are raising again today. Creeping closer to $3 again.

              Good morning, crew. We’re having a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day here in Tidewater Virginia. The sun’s out and the temps are going to be in the 60’s.

              I did a little more work on my warehouse yesterday and hope to have it done tomorrow. I’m gluing things and I need to walk away once in a while so the glue can dry without me messing something up.

                We survived pumping 7 or so inches from the basement and celebrated out anniversary with a nice dinner out last night.

                St. Patrick's day is easy to remember, it's the day AFTER our anniversary, LOL.

                Being from Irish decent, County Claire, we always celebrate the holiday with the "wearin' o' the green".

                    Good morning and a Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone! Yes, I'm happy to pretend to be Irish on this fine day and take advantage of the festivities!

                    I'm enjoying my week off from work, getting lot's done around here. I spent most of the afternoon yesterday laying the first pieces of track on the layout in the staging yard. I got about 1/3 of the yard laid and it's coming along nicely. I put the first car on the layout to test the trackwork. What a good feeling that was! I'll update my thread a little later on.

                    Well, I'm off to check out the rest of the forum. Happy a great St. Patrick's Day!!!

                      Happy Saint Patrick's Day Everybody.

                      It's 51 and sunny and we're heading all the way to 63[^]

                      Thanks for opening the lounge Neil. I'll have the Irish breakfast of champions since I'm Irish on my mothers side. [^]

                      Since it's a nice day I'll start things off by giving the tiller a good going over and the same for the garden tractor as the grass is greening up like crazy. I know we're not out of the woods yet as far as snow is concerned, but if it does it won't last long.

                      Got some parts ordered yesterday for the rebuild.

                      Time for that coffee and look over the forum. Have a good day and God Bless.

                        Happy St Pat's day to you all.[^] I do not have an ounze of Irish in me but I do enjoy a guiness. No modeling done yesterday as I spent the evening in a walk in clinic as my blood pressure was up and I am retaining fluid. Humbug!!!! This getting old is not what it is cracked up to be.
