Yes Arthur, it is scratched... actually the first I made in O scale, when I had bought the first Forney. It is very small and branchlinish, not very well made (mainly made from what I had lying in the boat at the time, plus coffee stirrers, spout from watercolor brush ferrules etc... I plan to grow a lot of the laser cut ivy vine stuff over it.

      • Another small addition to the weavery... a proper entrance.

I'll make a fence of sorts from the gate to the loading platform and from the new shed in behind the factory.

Sorry for the available light mix of very cold and very warm in the photo....

        • Excellent. The round shape of the sign is very nice.

          • How did you weather the arched rusted sign?

              • Ben, I used thick rust coloured acrylics dapped on along the edges of the sign. When dry I drybrushed the front with light brown greys (same I used for the shingles).

                • Troels: I am simply amazed at your ability

to hand letter your signage with such accuracy

and legibility! If I didn't know better, I'd

think those were decals. You are certainly a

                  very talented young man!

                  • Geezer, the arched sign is not hand lettered! I made it in photoshop. Sometimes I take a shortcut you know (when I have the font and it's going on a uniform surface.... I printed on normal copy paper, sprayed with fixative and glued it to cardboard. But the lettering on the building was hand lettered.

It's a loong time since someone called me a young man! Thanks!

                    • I give y a that one, Troels.....

But, I stick with what I said:

Your hand lettering is the best

I have seen yet. "Period""Exclamation mark"

LOL! Ya are a lot younger than me!!!

And yet, they should because it has more to do with what we have in our mind than with our date of birth.

                        • Weavery "finished"... as far as I can get before installing/blending in on the layout. I'd like to find a couple of figures for the load ramp area, and perhaps a little truck of sorts... a bicycle too... It's been a fun and satisfying build. And a good match for the lighthouse.

                            • Hi Troels, your Tesdorf Weavery has turned out to be a very handsome looking building!

Do you plan on lighting this building with interior lights?

I can see it in my minds eye lit at night by the lighthouse.
