  • Sunday Morn ...

    Good Morning Crew

It’s almost Sunday morning and I’m exhausted from watching the game…. YANKS WIN GAME THREE and they are now up 2 games to 1!

I’ll be putting up the Joe in a few hours and the bakery will be dropping of the rolls and buns. Sure hope I’m up to have our traditional early Sunday Morn breakfast; if not, come on in and help yourself!

No progress to report on my O scale Fos kit week but major progress was made on a project I’m doing for George Sellios. I’m in the home stretch now and it should be completed and on it’s way to George by next weekend.

    Today another monster sports day:

    Giants at the Eagles

    The Jets host the Dolphins

    The Vikings at Green Bay

Yanks and Phillies at 8 PM.

    Enjoy the day.

Well, Good Morning Peter, and to Those who will be arriving later-on in the lounge, . .Yesterday, Oregon did a triple whammie on California as our S-I-L Tim, grandson Jami, and I attended the Western Oregon University/Humboldt State game, and our Beavers beat UCLA, and our Ducks beat USC. We thoroughly enjoyed the game we went to, listening to the Beavers game and watching the national broadcast of the Ducks game. All of 'em were exciting games. After pizza and the Ducks game, the kids went home, and I started my annual adventure of falling-back by replacing the batteries in our clocks, smoke and CO detectors. I always leave at least one clock on Standard Time. Sey-hey, Bruce! . .West Milford was definitely in the national news last night. It had something to do with a political race. Lessee, we have had our fair share of rain and cold temperatures these past two weeks, that and a few breaks of sunshine. Looks like we may be having another early winter. It's time to head for the bunk and count some sheep. C U all down the line.

Hey Peter and Allan - glad to see the lights on in the lounge when I wandered by this morning. I'll keep the fire stoked until Peter gets back to cook up some breakfast. If I've nodded off just give me a nudge. The time change always messes me up for a day or two.

Planted a few trees yesterday and tore out a small section of the layout. Nothing major. Just some plaster where at first I was going to put a backdrop, then changed my mind and plastered the area and now I've changed my mind again so out with the plaster.

      Have a great day,

      Dave :erm:

Howdy Peter, Alan, Dave and all

Thanks for the spred and hot coffee. Didn't think anyone would be up at this hour. It's only 30 or so outside looking for a high of around 45 or so.

Not much to report on the layout. Did a little more plastering. Waiting on a portal that I ordered to complete the first layer of plaster on the mountain range.

Been working on Joan's quilting machine. Kind of like the old Erector sets. A lot of pieces to put together. Go the computer drive for it a few days ago; so it shaping up like I should have it up and running today. Joan is a little under the weather. I took her in for ear surgery Monday. It seems like her first husband like to use her for a punching bag and he did a number on her ears. Her hearing has been getting worse over the years and she finally decided to have her ears repaired. When Joan and I first got together, ear surgery was kind of primative compared to the leaps and bounds surgery has come.

I bought Windows 7 upgrade and have installed it into both our computers. Fine tuning mine now to get the most out of it. Joan had Windows Vista in her computer so upgrading to 7 was no big deal. I had Windows XP in mine; (I like gaming, and XP is the best for computer gaming). To upgrade to 7 on my computer required a reformat. So now I am re-installing all my old programs. Some work and some don't

Good morning from northern New Jersey where the temps are back into the normal fall range and sunny weather is forecast for the next week.

As has been the case for the past few years, we had no 'trick or treaters' yesterday. With the number of black bears wandering around, you can't blame parents for not sending their kids around with 'bait' dangling from their goodie bags.

I made it up to the Greenberg train show yesterday. I managed to pick up a few things. Now I just need the motivation to actually sit at the bench for a while. :erm:

Allen, Bonnie and I were at the rally, and there were plenty of news outlets present.

Well, time to make the coffee here in the real world. Have a great day!

              Good Morning Crew,

Cheese, you guys should be calling this the OPEN ALL NIGHT AND DAY lounge!

Nope not a thing done on the RR. After work tonight I need to attend to a few things on my wife's car.

I recently looked at the Walthers flier, and spotted an Accurail kit retail of $39.95, on sale for $34.95. No wonder kits are not selling much these days. If the Accurail kits are the same quality and just more expensive to mfg. I can see why Athearn is dropping their blue box line. I still like to build a well detailed kit, such as a branchline or proto 2k. It seems however those kits seem to be in one era. They do not cover much modern or very early stuff.

Boy... Hope Peter got some sleep prior to the games starting today. And "Hi" to everyone checking in.

Only 1 mouse showed up at the door with Mom in tow last night... not like the old days.

Modeling time will be limited today due to a lunch outing. Well, going to get some more coffee and see what's new on the forums. Have a great day everyone.

                  Good Sunday Morning Everybody.

It's 33 with sunshine heading to 54 today. Thanks for opening Peter. I'll help myself to some coffee.

Since it's such a nice day, and I'm feeling a whole lot better from my bout with the Ho Ch Min two-step, I'll have to find something to do today as the Steelers have the bye this week. But there is plenty of football on today so I'll watch one of the 4:00 games. I'll watch the ballgame tonight to see if the Philly's can tie it up.

The Ohio State Buckeyes had their third shutout of the year as they jumped all over New Mexico State. How bout those Ducks beating the university of spoiled children, and that team from up north loosing to Illinois

If all go's according to Hoyle, I should make it to the LHS some time this week for some goodies.

Well it's time for another coffee and to look over the forum. Have a good day and God Bless.

Cool and grey here in Michigan, SPARTANid="green"> country is a bit sad although the game against the minni Goofers was exciting. The Ann Arbors girls school fell to an Ill-noise and blue tears are rampant in the realm of the world's most irritating all about me fans. One bright spot here is the win by the Red Wings in Calgary last night. No time here for that stick and ball stuff. Hope y'all do enjoy your series, which ever way you are rooting!

Eggs are beggin to be cooked here along with some grits for me, I think. Going to cook some turkey later.

I might get at some final assembly on my F-7sid="purple"> today.

                      Everyone have a good day.

                        Gooooooooooood Morning, Crew!

Chilly and cloudy here in Southern New England. I sat down to put some more parts on my flat car big bottle of ACC had all hardened up! [!] I knew it was on it's way out. When it starts to thicken, it's starting to go. I'll get something from Da Depot. I watched the Yankees play another tough one against the Phillies last night. Tonight should be just as tough. Well, time for another cuppa. Have a great day everyone!

                          Good Morning All!

A bit cooler but not as gray today here in central MA.

Stayed up to watch the game last night only to nod off for the ninth. But, no biggie, the yanks held on.

It was catching that extra hour of sleep to offset however, I will not enjoy driving home from work in the dark now.

Halloween was bust here, there are no more little kids on our street so now we get to eat all of the candy ourselves.

Well off to see what I can do today that looks like progress before we have to take our son back to BU this evening. The Mrs. is whipping up a pot of homemade sauce and manicotti for 'Lupper'.

                          Good day to you all.[^]

Good morning crew it is a cool cloudy day here in southern ON. Went yesterday and picked up a CN6400 brass locomotive I had painted by Jim Thurston in St. Catharines. He did d fantastic job. I can do regular black steam locos but this one is green and black with curved pin striping and I didn't want to try it.

My wife came home after a week of baby sitting and now she has the cold that has been going around. So I am playing the house doctor.

                            Have a great Sunday.

Good morning, guys. It's a cool but sunny one here in the Ozarks.

I made a sizeable dent in the 'winterization list' yesterday. And all of the leaves are down out of the trees (finally!), so I think I've had my last weekend of leaf blowing for the year. This morning I've got to run out to the highway with the gas cans and get about 30 gallons for the boat. Once I get the boat's tank filled, the winter tarp can go on. After that, I'll tackle something easy - like mounding and covering the rose bushes for winter.

Men who beat women (and children) are not men at all, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, time to get to work. Have a good day, everyone.
