  • Saturday Lounge Now Open!!

    Gooooooooood Morning, Crew!!

It's going to be a cold, wet weekend here in Connecticut with some snow mixing in with rain. All the more reason to have a fire goin' in the beer-belly stove here in The Lounge to warm things up! We have a beeeeeg ol' pot of our exclusive RR-Line 'Ballast Blend' coffee, so pour a cup and stay awhile. Breakfast is on the serving line for your enjoyment this morning! Today's menu is Kansas City-style breakfast steaks grilled to order, cheesy scrambled eggs, biscuits 'n gravy, grits with REAL butter, white beans 'n rice, cold fresh OJ, milk, and fruit slices. [:-chef] Okay, okay...don't just sit there with yer mouths open. [:P] Order up! [:-bigmouth] So what's on the board for this weekend, Guys? I have to get over to Da Depot to pick up a sheet of plywood and some lumber to build a new model bench. Got my rail and ties in from Fast Tracks along with the rail bending tool yesterday. Looks like a real precision little machine! Well, I'm a-gonna have another cuppa here and then get ready to get started to get up to get goin'. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Good Saturday Morning Russ and Crew.

Thanks for opening Russ, since it's 37 big ones I'll have some "ballast blend" coffee to get me going!! We're heading into a heat wave today as the temps climb all the way to a sweltering 44 by days end. We have sunshine starting tomorrow and for the next several days along with some warmth. [:-bouncy]

Not much planed for today as it's on the cold, wet and soggy side. It is a perfect day to watch some college football. The Buckeyes are on vs Purdue so I'll be watching that one for sure. My son and I went to the Carrollton game last night. It was on the cool side at 41. The hometown boys lost 21 to 14, good game tho as it went down to the wire. We're now 6-2 on the season with 2 more games to play. They can still make the playoffs if they win the last 2 games.

Not much going on as far as modeling is concerned except for planning and research, buts that's fun too. Hopefully, I should be done with the basement by the time I go back to work.

Time for a refill of ballast blend and look over the forum. Have a good day and God Bless.

      Good Morning All!

Not much to report from Buckeye land on this sunny but cold Saturday..My Buick is still in the garage due to a parts foul up-he received the wrong heater core.Lovely, just lovely..Supposed to be finish today.Yesterday I test ran the track and found I need to add jumper wires on 2 sidings due to the power-routing of the turnouts..Funny how I use to know these basic things but, after years of using insulated frogs they were forgotten.

      As for the question.

As of now I have 4 PFE reefers and 2 boxcars awaiting Micro Train trucks/couplers which should be here by Tuesday.

I shall have a cup and look over the forum.

      Have a good'n!

The wife was going to stay home and paint back drops so I thought I would install some more for here to paint. Isn't that nice of me? Anyway she is the artist back drop painter not me.

        Have a great day.
