    Good Morning Crew,

It is in the mid 40's this morning in central NJ, and the days are getting shorter.

Not too much going on, I did go to the JV club last night, and did some signaling work for the club. I also got my Digitrax UR-91 back from repair. Brand new, the wireless did not work at all, and I am looking forward to testing it out tonight.

Well coffee is on, so come on in.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning Jeff and All,

Thanks for opening!! Another 12 hour shift today and then I'm off to the convention in Ft Wayne!![^] Anyone getting any snow today? PA is supposed to be getting some. Way to early!!

A question for the day (just to make it a little more interesting!!) This has been discussed in the past but is usually fun. What are your other interests?

I have a classic car and a muscle car. My wife and I enjoy the Civil War and visiting battlefields and such (need to do much more of it!) Although my wife is much more into it than I, genealogy.

Hope all have a great and safe day!!
Look out for #1, but don\'t step in #2!

        Good morning guys,

Glad to hear that it didn't snow down south Danny. It's 31-degrees here, so it's cold enough to.

Gotta get some food in me before the workout, then a day full of work-type stuff. So much to do before CSS.

Tomorrow I have to be in Bellows Falls, VT at 8:00 a.m. for an interview with The Rail Channel. Good thing it's only a 2 1/2 hour ride from here. :erm:

The good news is that I'll get to spend the better part of the day railfanning, and I just don't get a lot of chances for that anymore.

        Have a great day!

              Gooooooooooooooood Morning, Crew!

Well, Jeff, aint no tropical paradise here in Connecticut, either. Cold, gray, gonna rain...let's have some more HOT COFFEE!!id="Comic Sans MS"> I'm bidding on a few new Tortoise switch motors on eBay so I'll have some to start out with when the construction begins. I'll get my Fast Tracks order on Friday...that'll be rail and ties. My NCE PowerCab and Model Engineering turnouts should be around the corner, so I'll have what I need to get started soon. This weekend I'm going to build a new bench for my model building and that will help make room for the layout construction and just neaten up The Dungeon. [:-skull] Well, Andy...My other interests are vintage railroad postcards, cigars, coffee, and goofing off. At my age I need to enjoy some luxuries! Have a great day, everyone!

                  Good morning, crew!

This week, I managed to get a few projects completed that are related to model railroading....writing two articles. I finished up an article on my hoist house and sent it off to RMC, yesterday. That has been hanging over my head like a dark cloud. Now that the storm has lifted, I feel a bit rejuvenated! I'm not sure what to start on, next! Either a structure kit or a planned expansion of the layout.

As for other interests, I guess I do a lot of reading. This is more due to traveling, than anything else. There is nothing worse than sitting in an airport for hours due to delays, with nothing to do. I find that reading really helps that time pass, quickly. I read a mix of fiction and non-fiction. For non-fiction, it is mainly American history.

Good luck with the throttle, Jeff!

                  Chuck

                    Morning All,

Working on my 2nd cup of coffee here at work. I'm about ready to place an order for track & switches for my O gage layout. I need to get some trains running by Christmas since my son & daugther will be visiting me then. Russ, sounds like you're close to getting some track down on the new layout...Excellent! As for other hobbies, I like fishing & bowling, and like Russ, cigars! Have a great day everybody.

                      Good morning folks

It was a chilly 49 F this morning as I hit the dark highways. High will be 47 F (?) with rain. Not only do we have rain we will have two Nor’easters between now and Sunday night.

I did not make it to the forums yesterday. It was just one of those crazy days. I walked into a firestorm at the office and things went downhill from there.

My daughter had a volleyball game in which they won their first match of the season. They are now 1-3. Their coach is not so much worried about as preparing them for high school volleyball. As a result the team has had to change the way it plays. Last year playing on the 7th grade team was like playing recreation volleyball. This year is serious. Even though they lost their first three games you can see them getting better and better. The coach really spent time with my daughter to work on her serve. Last year she was lucky to get 1 in 5 across the net or in bounds. Yesterday she ran off 10 in a row. On the tenth her team failed to return a volley. She spotted her team a 9 to 1 lead. On her second serve she ran off 3 and again the team failed to return a volley. She was responsible for 11 points off her serve in that game. She also had several saves when she was playing the front line.

In the evening we had Cub Scout den meetings and the associated chaos that goes with it.

Due to the Nor’easters my son will not be camping this weekend. Since they are camping near the Jersey Shore they will get the brunt of the storms. He still has a cough and is just finishing his regimen of antibiotics. I do not want him to get sick again. He cannot afford to miss any more school. He will have a chance to go camping again three weeks.

Today is a little less crazy. My daughter has a volleyball game and that is it.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Dull grey with rain and 'wintry mix' in the forecast.

Taking my mother's car to have the remote start fixed today then take the car back to her. That's my day.

Other interests include photography, my old car, got rid of my old truck. I help my wife with tech issues while she does genealogy. We tinker in buying junk and selling antiques. Upkeep and maintenance of 4 acres and house and barn take up a bit of time, as well.

Keeping warm the next few months will be my priority, seems that after losing 30 lbs it's closer to cold much of the time.

I hope all have a great day.

                            HI Gang!

Phew... it was quite chilly in my neck of the woods the past (2) mornings, so much so that the mist from the lake can no longer protect us from the frost. Alas, the annuals are headed for the compost bin.

I actually did some modeling last night; I put strips of brown paper toweling on the roof of my lumber shed (ATLAS- lumberyard kit)with dilute matte medium. I have been in a creative slump for several weeks. I hope this means I am breaking out of it.

Other interests for me include following NASCAR, Boating on our lake (that's over for this year) and traveling with with my wife as the budget allows.
                            "What the heck wuz that?"

Morning all. Have not had much of a chance to do any modeling for the past 2 days, which is probably a good thing as I stained some wood for the current build and this is allowing the wood to dry well. Going to try to get some modeling in today as tomorrow I need to drive to a different city to help set up modules for a club show this weekend. No modeling on Saturday due to the show and on Sunday we have dinner guest, so modeling time will be in short supply.

Other interest include cooking, NASCAR (on the tube as well as our local track) and paintball. I do have to admit that at age 57 and totally out of shape, I may have to give up the paintballing soon.

                              -- KP --

Life is to short to build all of the models I want to.
