  • Monday Afternoon Lounge

Good Afternoon. Soda is cold and there are some finger sandwiches on the plate.

Since we are photo hungry here thought you might like to see some photos of the track painting project on my layout.

    This is Essex, Ct.

    This is Old Saybrook,Ct.

This is Dividend,Ct. These are the unloading tracks for the Hartford Rayon Co. The front is the chemical track and the rear is the supply track.

Let's see some of your photos.

I am using the Floquil paint markers. I then use acrylic paint washes to weather some of the ties and then go over the whole track including rail with a 30/60 mixture of alcohol and India ink.

I tried those pens but they didn't seem to cover the rails for me. I even cleaned them with alcohol first, the silver would shine through. I paint mine by hand with a small brush and Joes rusty rails paint.
