  • Hi!!

Hi Folks! My name is Jim Snyder- I live in Monterey, CA and am involved in several flavors of this hobby- I have been a narrow-gauger (Colo.)most of my life- primarily in O scale(On3)... but I grew up in Illinois, so the Illinois Central and GM&O are also interesting (HO). I have done some modules in HO and N (This is California and O scale real estate is almost as expensive as the 1:1 stuff elsewhere!) I have also ventured into The Pennsy in "N". I have started way too many projects, but- who knows? I do like it all!

I am in the TV business and have worked as a Director of Photography, among other things... so creating photos also interests me.

-for a sample of my stuff!

So, that's about it for now. Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the forum. A great place here, nice people, wonderful modelers with lots to share, a great place to learn, ask questions, share your work and knowledge, or just hang out.

Ah, yes Monterey....Laguna Seca...the aquarium....did I say Laguna Seca?.....grew up in the bay area, so spent lots of time there (and Santa Cruz )....I still remeber Mark Donahue racing CAN-AM there.

Jim, welcome to the RR-Line Forums. I checked out your Railimages Photo Album. You have some great photos of motive power there. As you may know, you can insert photos into your posts here without having them hosted on a photo site, and you can also create a photo album here if you like. Again, welcome to the Forum.

Love the photos in your album. Especially #21, where the water tank is weathered. Nice job.

Welcome to the forum Jim. I looked at your album and see you have a nice steam roster. I like # 2819, the consolidation with the Vandy tender.

Marc, I was briefly stationed at Ft. Ord in the early 60's and attended a race at Laguna Seca. That's an interesting course. You forgot another major site that was in the area - the Gorry & Daphetid.
