    Hi everyone,

This is a first for me so grab a cup of joe or cold glass of OJ and a big piece of Birthday Cake.

Today I celebrate 53 yrs of life as we know it; and it ain't been all that bad.

This weekend I put in all of the cabinets in Daughter's kitchen, caught the end of the cup race and spent a few hours on the boat. Not much train time though.

    Oh well...

I'm headed off to the office in few so i will pick-up again when I get there.

    Enjoy the party everyone!!

Happy Birthday, Ron! Thanks for opening the lounge today.

We had more rain over night, and it looks like we might get a little more this morning. After that, we might actually see the sun for the next few days! It is, however, only 57 degrees out right now.

If the rain stays away, I will be in the yard doing any number of chores that have been piling up for the past two weeks of rainy weather. It needs to dry a bit before I can mow the lawn, however.

Well, time to check out the rest of the forum. have a great day!

      HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RON!id="size6">

I spent the weekend at Summit Point Race Track at a 12 hour race. Our crew supported four cars. Three were DNF (not our fault) and one won its class! Our winner only won by 2 seconds after 12 hours of racing. The last hour was in the rain and a real nail biter.

We raced Go Karts on yesterday and I feel like I spent the day doing pushups. This old man didn’t do very good – my son lapped me and I’m sure I’ll be hearing more about that.

      Have a good day.

        Good morning folks

It was 63 F this morning as I headed out. High will be 78 F with a chance of thunderstorms.

It was a busy but relaxing weekend. Saturday was spent running around doing the bi-weekly restocking of the cupboards. Sunday was spent leisurely doing things around the house. I cleaned out the pond filter, mowed the back yard, and few other odds and ends.

I did get some time on the layout. Most of it was cleaning it off and reorganizing things. I also went through the stuff on the workbench. I have to attach the brake wheel to an Accurail wood boxcar. I then have to renumber a couple of cars. Problem is someone “borrowed” my glue. Now I have to go out and get some more.

Tonight will be one of those nights. My son has a baseball game and my daughter her flute lesson.

I hope everybody has a good day.

          HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!!!

Well the weather is cloudy with rain in the forecast today for Central Jersey. I like Bruce's weather report better by us they are calling for a 50 % chance of rain from Wednesday through Saturday, everyday[:-snorkel].

Well time to look over the forum.

          Everyone have a great day!!

            Good morning, everyone.

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things here, on the board. Its been hit or miss, lately. I guess it must be all the summertime activities.

I did manage to finsih decaling my two cabooses over the weekend. I also painted the roof of the cupolas. But, as luck would have it, I dropped my pin vice on the floor with the only remaining #80 drill bit. of course, it broke. So, I hjave many more holes to drill for grab irons, and no tools for it. It looks like a trip to the hobby shop is on the horizon...and there is a sale going on this weekend. Maybe I will head there on Friday. I need to pick up some paint for the grabs, also. And, while I am at it, I want to swap out the wheel sets on an old Athearn blue box loco I have.

Good morning crew, we have a beautiful day ahead of us here in in Southeastern wisconsin with temps in the low 70s with little or no chance of rain in the forcast.

This past weekend I did a bit of yard work, worked in the woodshop on some projects I have been procrastinating for some time and did some work on a pair of Athearn SP SD40-2T tunnel-motors that I'm installing sound decoders in.

The wife and I are doing a little day trip today to some of the areas historic attractions as the part of the Historical society's month of June promotional schedual. There are a number of attractions within fifty or so miles that are of interest to us that we visit today.

Well were off. Have a great day

Morning all from a sunny and pleasant Denver area where t-storms are again on tap for later today. The weather folks are saying that we should get warm and dry weather later this week... we'll see.

I just have not been able to get to the modeling bench due to varius issues like my best friends Dad's death last week, work and railroad convention activities. I've **got** to find some time to model as my fingers are starting to have anxiety attacks...

Well... got to get off to work, so have a great day everyone.

                  Good Monday Morning Everybody.

Its a beautiful sunny 69 with our high scampering all the way to 80. No rain in the forecast until Wednesday and we can use the rain. I'm going along with my son to help him mow at the church. So the next few hours I'll be busy supervising . After that I want to start digging out some Blackberry canes for transplanting. I tilled some 3 rows yesterday evening in preparation. I've always wanted to cultivate them and as I got the time I might as well do it. I don't know if this is the right time of year to do it, but I've mowed, whacked, and cut them down over the years and they keep on growing. So they should be fine.

I've been working on the track plan and decided to start over again.

Well its time for another cup of coffee and look over the forum. Have a good day and God Bless.

Bright sun and a tad cool this am. Put on a long sleeve shirt while I just put down 4-15,000 sq foot bags of weed and feed fertilizer while the lawn was still dew covered. Taking a break and then heading back out to clean off the equipment. No rain forecast today and temps slated to go to the 80 degree area. A little rain is forecast for mid week.

Watched bits and pieces of the Cup race yesterday, for many years I went to all the races at Michigan but traffic there became a nightmare. I attended almost every race from 1972, I was there when Richard Petty introduced STP as his sponsor in June that year. For years the June race was always on Father's Day but no longer. At one time crowds were such that I actually stood and talked to Bill Elliott's Dad in the pits for 1/2 hour or more about our mutual connections in S. Georgia. He is gone now as is any chance that anyone could actually be unaccompanied on pit road like that.

No modeling on tap, have lots to do.

That's about it from here in the mitten. I hope all have a great day.

                      Good Morning All!

Not much to report from Buckeye land other then I just returned from the doctors in Mansfield..I guess I will be around a little longer.. Good Morning Crew.

                        HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!!!

Cloudy and cool this morning on the eastern plains of Colorado. Thunderstorm watch continues through the rest of the week. Boy is it humid....for out here. 60% compared to the usual 15-20%. That sure cuts down on the water consumption for the grass and garden.

Getting ready for the ops session coming up this Saturday.

We have prison inspectors (ACA) in for an audit of the pen the next 3 days. With all the money they spend on ACA and getting ready for it every year, we could have more staff that we desperately need.

                        Have a great day.
