    Hi all,

In the above link, i have found quite a nice center cab diesel that i would like to buy.

Has anyone bought one of these loco's?

    Regards, Brodie

Nice looking diesel! Kinda spendy though at $125.00, especially when the donor loco is added in.

JMO - Sorta kinda looks like you could use 2 Bachmann side--rod deisels and

      reach the same end.....

        Brodie,

Nice looking engine but I agree $125.00 is a lot for a resin kit.

I have test fit a center cab diesel built from two Davenport shells on top of an HO Bachmann 70 ton drive and it will work incase you want to do a bash.

Nicely detailed resin kit and if you want it, then it's worth the price.

It really makes a nice loco, but apart from a few special parts, it doesn't seem so hard to scratchbuild the same thing with styrene. It's a time vs. money choice.

It appears to be an exceptionally detailed kit that makes an impressive model. Too bad the Plymouth is not a particularly strong mechanism for this little beauty...I wonder if one of the Bachmann 45 tonners would fit under it instead...giving four axles and DCC. However, I already have more projects lined up than I could finish if I lived to be 150...

I'm on with MinerFortyNiner, but i wonder if something like a sw1500 would fit too?

                Regards, brodie

                  Brodie,

I agree with the rest of the guys here, very pricey for resin. With those pictures you could scratch build one, the SW mech or one of the newer bachmann mechs would work. 2 gas mech hoods and BVM cab.

Brodie, you could check with the manufacturer...he might be able to suggest a good alternative
