I have some engines that i want to repaint and rename. What is the best way to remove the original roadname from a plastic shell without damaging the plastic before i repaint them.

Try soaking in 90% alcohol, that should remove paint.mike h.

Castrol Super Clean also does an excellent job of paint removal - just make sure to wear gloves as it really dries out skin.

Forget those two replies above, you're asking about removing pad printed ink, not paint.
