There hasn't been an up-date on the progress of our Club's layout for a while, so I have included some pictures. These are a few weeks old, and more progress has been made in the areas shown.

The progress is impressive, Rick. So, have you solved your 'visitors' problem?

Great to see the pics Rick, and WOW, you guys are really moving along! That heavy construction is now just a faint memory, right? Well worth the long hard effort I'm sure. It looks great. I can't wait to see more.

                All:

I will up-date with pictures of the progress when I remember to bring the camera with me on work nights. Geez, this last weekend I recognized and talked to a grade school classmate that I hadn't seen in 40+ years, but can't remember to bring my camera to the Club to take pictures....short term memory loss, I guess.

I hear ya Rick. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. But I can't wait to see the pics. I can only imagine the progress you guys are making.

I put the camera on top of my toolbox last night so I wouldn't forget it.

Now, let's imagine. What could happen and make you forget it? A sudden telephone call : work session cancelled, we'll just have trains running tonight...

Impressive series of turnouts, Allen. I understand that my joke about a train running session is yet a bit unrealistic, at least in this part of the layout...

By Christmas? Wow, you guys are very determined! Great progress though, so who knows! One thing is for sure, your golden spike ceremony, whenever that will be, should be one heck of a celebration after all you guys have been through to get to where you are! Well done! Keep the pics coming.

Phase one of the project is to get track down on the mole and have the main line and industrial spurs in clear around to Shelburn in the new basement. We will have a celebration of sorts when we run the first train out of the Mole to Shelburn, we also plan to erect a temporary staging yard for westbound traffic at the east end of Shelburn, it will be on wheels so as we advance further east we can connect it in. However once we get past Mill City, the elevation increases so the portable staging will be useless. At that point we will push up over the summit and connect with the helix. Once that happens...yes we will have a big golden spike celebration.
